Mike O: First of all where did the name Never Enough come from? Is there a story behind the name?
NORMAN MATTHEW : People just can't seem to fucking get enough. Can't kill enough. Can't steal enough. Can't get thin enough. Can't get rich enough. You name it and people want more of it. This is an outlet for all the love, rage and sadness in our lives. We know there are people out there that are just like us... Passionate and lonely... People who still truly care about what's going on in the world around them and not just what's right in front of them.
Mike O : First Both Lylah and Eighteen Visions have a really different sound than Never Enough, was it your plan to make a project with a different sound compared to the other bands you played in?
NORMAN MATTHEW: It was just a natural thing. We had all wanted to try something new and different. Keith and Trevor demoed a lot of the material on the back of the bus on tour with 18 VISIONS.I have such a different voice from James Hart (18V Vocalist), that when the music and vocals came together, it just took on a life of its own.
Mike O : First What would you say are some of the biggest influences on Never Enough’s music?
NORMAN MATTHEW: Nine Inch Nails, Manson, Depeche Mode,VnV Nation,Combichrist, pretty much the gnarliest shit on the planet.
Mike O : First You released your self titled CD in November, have you already begun writing your next record?
NORMAN MATTHEW: We tracked 23 songs when recording 1.0, we have already written about 10 more, so we've got enough material for two more releases at the moment.
Mike O : First What did you do about bass on your self titled? Are you looking for a permanent bassist or are you going to do something different about that?
NORMAN MATTHEW: N3 will be the three of us, hence N3, live we have a bassist. On 1.0 both Keith and I took up bass duties
Mike O : What would you say is the thing that first inspired you to play music?
NORMAN MATTHEW: KISS when I was 4, GUNS N ROSES when i was 7!
Mike O : I haven’t heard any new on a Never Enough tour, should we be expecting one soon?
NORMAN MATTHEW: we have already played a string of shows, including a global webcast on the show DEEPROCK DRIVE...as for a full on tour, who knows ;) We wanted it so less and more about the atmth less pressure and stress and more about the atmosphere being about the music and not the business ya know? When the time is right, it will happen.
Mike O : What should fans expect from seeing Never Enough live?
NORMAN MATTHEW: an amazing show! not because its our band and we feel that way,but because live we re-create every nuance of the record live. Vocals, harmonies, music, trevors drum are a combo of a stock acoustic drum kit and vdrums, with every sound programmed into the vdrum pad for each song, so we are literally re-creating the record live in every way.
Mike O : A lot of fans want to know what equipment there favorite bands use, care to share?
NORMAN MATTHEW: I am endorsed by BC RICH GUITARS,KUSTOM AMPS, COFFIN CASES,HOT PICKS,BABICZ GUITARS,HALO GUITARS and also use a FERNANDES with sustainer for "HUSH" live,vISUAL sOUND pEDALS and GIBSON LES PAULS in the studio.
Mike O : Thanks again for taking the time out to talk to us, anything else you would like to say to your fans?
NORMAN MATTHEW: WE HAVE AMAZING FANS!!! bands say that, but we truly mean it! from the birthday gifts to tattoos, since our inception, from our transition from 18 VISIONS & LYLAH to NEVER 3NOUGH HAVE BUILT US FROM THE GROUND UP, THANK YOU!XO
