Mike: You guys just started two years ago and are
already playing with bands like Lacuna Coil and The Cult. What has it
been like playing with so many big bands so fast?
Bruno:
It’s amazing we are very grateful to be as lucky as we have been.
Mike:
I¹ve also noticed that you guys play with a variety of bands with
different styles, what¹s it like being able to go from play with The
Cult to play with a band like Set Your Goals?
Bruno:
It’s cool not to be put into one category of music we have a lot of
different influences and elements in our music, which allows us to reach
out to many different audiences.
Mike:
How did you guys originally come together as a band?
Bruno:
I was friends with Jason Nott before and then we decided to start a
band and eventually met up with the other guys.
Mike:
You guys are all 20 years old or younger, have you ever been hassled
about playing certain shows because of your age?
Bruno:
Not really we tend to not book gigs where were not allowed into the
venue it makes a weird vibe.
Mike: Loss of Desire came
out May 19th, was the album everything you guys wanted it to be?
Bruno:
Yes, I am very proud of how the album came out, I think it shows all
the sides to our band and that’s what we wanted to do.
Mike:
What is writing and recording like for you guys?
Bruno:
When we were writing Loss of desire the majority the songs came from
ideas I brought into rehersals and then they expanded from there. The
recording process was pretty simple track drums first then bass,
guitars, and then vocals last.
Mike: What would you say are your biggest
influences inside and outside of the music industry?
Bruno:
I don't know my favorites would probably be Green Day, then Billy
Talent, and Gallows.
Mike:
Being a band that is constantly on the road do you write during your
off time or while on tour?
Bruno:
Whenever we have off time is when the majority songs come together.
Mike:
What was it like working with Dennis Hill and Matt Sorum while Loss of
Desire was being produced?
Bruno:
It was great Dennis Hill was there during the whole process of making
the album, and Matt Sorum came in for two tracks which was awesome both
of them are really cool dudes we had a blast.
Mike:
I know you guys are based in Las Angeles, what is the rest of the music
scene like over there? I know California
as a whole has an excellent music scene.
Bruno:
Los Angeles is filled with either hippie
bands or death metal bands we are yet to find a cool scene to be a part
of.
Mike:
Have you already begun writing your next studio album?
Bruno:
No we haven't done any writing for the next record.
Mike:
What would you say are some of the best and worst parts about being in a
relatively new touring band?
Bruno: Except for having to wake up early to drive
to the next town, touring is what we love to do, there is no bad part
about it.
Mike:
Do you have any final messages to all of your fans?
Bruno: I don’t. We've had some great experiences on the
road, we've learned a lot, and met a lot of new people its all been
positive so far.
